Dani’s Very Good Wonderful Day

I love the sounds and smells of camping breakfast in the morning…

The tantalizing aromas of Coffee steaming, Bacon, eggs, and sausage sizzling over open fires.

Dishes clinking, soft murmurs of quiet conversation and sweet laughter while people enjoy their first morning cup.

Birds chirping out their melodies, as fresh babbling water meanders by on its way downstream.

Quacking ducks stopping by hoping to partake in whatever you’re willing to share.

It’s going to be a very good day!

Something’s coming…

I can feel it…

Like the ripples just below the surface of otherwise tranquil waters.

Something’s coming…

The wind whispers it’s warning with an eerie rustling to all who will listen.

Something’s coming…

As murders of crows gather with increasing frequency their caws deafening.

Something’s coming…

Climate in Crisis

The afternoon sun lingers over a thirsty landscape after a recent rain…

A cleansing ritual normally receding with the promise of all things renewed…

Clear, clean, and refreshed after a nice long quenching drink the earth should sing with rejuvenation…

But there is SO much drought and SO much cracked earth that the liquid is merely a lifeline, it’s sustenance barely adequate.

I liken it to an IV that thwarts death but fails to restore true life.

My heart aches for this living ground we walk on.

Her survival is our survival, and we must act accordingly.
