The arbor lay assembled
For a little over a year
Weather not permitting
The glorious raising of this tier

Upon further inspection
The whole family it would take
To install this arbor
Just outside our patio gate

Through cursing and confounding
And some serious muscle strain
We pushed and shoved and lifted
Until that bubble we had slain

Now our lovely level arbor
Would require some cement
With utmost care we mixed it
Solidifying our intent

We filled the holes and made adjustments
With visions in our heads
Of the day we’ll come together
At the arbor where we’ll wed
